Hi I am so glad you stopped by! A little about the face behind RightBrainedTeacher, I am a graduate of Bowling Green State University after studying Inclusive Early Childhood Education. I have nothing but good things to say about BGSU and this program which allowed me to graduate with a degree in general education and special education all in 4 years flat! I spent my first year teaching in an inner city school distinct working with severe behaviors through my position as an intervention specialist in a kindergarten through second grade ED classroom. This position was extremely eye opening and also a great learning opportunity for me. And oh do I have stories to tell! Even with all the severe behaviors It was one of the most rewards jobs I have ever been a part of. Unfortunately I did feel that I was missing out on parts of teaching that I just love. Therefore I will be switching districts this school year to teach in a general education second grade classroom. I am so excited to start this new journey! I am lucky enough to be taking part in the grand opening of a brand new building with the highest quality tools and technology. I am completing my masters in Instructional Technology and can not wait to bring all that I learn into my classroom and to share it will all of you on this blog. I am truly passionate about effectively implementing technology into classroom spaces. As teachers I believe we need to rise to the challenge of continuing our education for the benefit of our students in this ever growing technology based world we all now live in. I hope to make the implementation of these tech based activities stress free and seamlessly encouraging teachers everywhere to try it out for themselves!
